Friends of the Southborough Youth Commission, Inc. (Friends) is an IRC 501(c)(3) organization that supports the work of Southborough Youth and Family Services, a Southborough Town department. Youth and Family Services provides counseling, youth activities, education and information, and preventive and community programs to the residents of Southborough, as well as assistance of various kinds to Southborough families with financial needs.
Friends uses it funds to support the work of the town department and to provide assistance to families which is not covered by the Town budget and policy, such as camperships to needy children, funds for heating oil or food to needy families and Christmas gifts to children who otherwise would not receive any presents.
Due to the fiscal situation in Southborough, the Town has cut the budget for Southborough Youth and Family Services in each of the past few years, which has required the Town department to lean more heavily on Friends. Friends is therefore now in danger of running out of funds to help when called upon. We are therefore trying to increase the funds that Friends has available.
You may securely donate (via Paypal) to the Friends of the Southborough Youth Commission: 100% of your donation will go to support the programs and activities of Southborough Youth and Family Services. In addition, your donation is wholly tax deductible for federal income tax purposes.
